Should Israel Cease Fire

Lebanon is Calling for yet another cease fire. Should Israel get out of lebanon. Lebanon's prime minister nearly broke down in tears calling for Israel's troops to pull out of lebanon. The U.N. ordered all military forces to be removed from southern Lebanon.they did not do that, so Israel believes its time they remove them there selfs. About 1000 people have died in southern Lebanon. 1 third of those people are children under the age of 13. So we that lebanon did not remove there military from southeren Lebanon. So then Israel begins war to remove all military forces from southeren lebanon. The U.N. is trying to make a decision about this matter Meanwhile 5 countries including the U.S. believe Israel should keep troops in lebanon untill peace makers arrive. What do you think... read about it all at google news.

no offense jordan and not 2 support bush either but i doubt bush is supporting israel for more jewish voters although israels population is 5,021,506 jews i doubt that bush would make this matter in to religon and to gain votes. if so many of the jews in the united states may not support israel for what ever reason they think although id asume about 3/4 do. and i think bush supports his religon strongly for example i think bush's decision against gay marriage was part of what his religon states or is. if bush was to support israel i think it would b for w/e he thinks is rite and not basing it on religon or more voters and even if bush is trying 2 gain more voters he could also lose many because only 5,914,682 in u.s. r jewish which is a larger number than israels but u also have 2 consider the fact that vermont is larger than israel so i think w/e bush thinks israel should do or should keep doing is his own opinion on the matter

I don't think anything this President says is his own opinion. I think he is going to use this somehow to get into Israel or Lebanon. I can't think of one thing he has done that has helped this country. Can you...

i very much doubt that even bush would b dum enough to attack israel because despite its size it has one of the best air forces, millitaries, and navys if u look up on israels wars many (save egypt) have been mainly against other middle east countrys (jordan, syria, lebannon, iraq)great britan and france also supported some countries in diff. wars 2 and u.s. has supported israel in some 2 and many of the attacks israel has won, gained terrirtory, or come 2 peace and all of the wars israel was attacked not the other way around take the yom kippur war...

"Three years of relative calm along the borders were shattered on Yom Kippur (Day of Atonement), the holiest day of the Jewish year, when Egypt and Syria launched a coordinated surprise assault against Israel (6 October 1973), with the Egyptian army crossing the Suez Canal and Syrian troops penetrating the Golan Heights.

During the next three weeks, the Israel Defense Forces turned the tide of battle and repulsed the attackers, crossing the Suez Canal into Egypt and advancing to within 20 miles (32 km.) of the Syrian capital, Damascus. Two years of difficult negotiations between Israel and Egypt and between Israel and Syria resulted in disengagement agreements, according to which Israel withdrew from parts of the territories captured during the war."

or the six day war

"Hopes for another decade of relative tranquillity were dashed with the escalation of Arab terrorist raids across the Egyptian and Jordanian borders, persistent Syrian artillery bombardment of agricultural settlements in northern Galilee and massive military build-ups by the neighboring Arab states. When Egypt again moved large numbers of troops into the Sinai desert (May 1967), ordered the UN peacekeeping forces (deployed since 1957) out of the area, reimposed the blockade of the Straits of Tiran and entered into a military alliance with Jordan, Israel found itself faced by hostile Arab armies on all fronts. As Egypt had violated the arrangements agreed upon following the 1956 Sinai Campaign, Israel invoked its inherent right of self-defense, launching a preemptive strike (5 June 1967) against Egypt in the south, followed by a counterattack against Jordan in the east and the routing of Syrian forces entrenched on the Golan Heights in the north.

At the end of six days of fighting, previous cease-fire lines were replaced by new ones, with Judea, Samaria, Gaza, the Sinai peninsula and the Golan Heights under Israel's control. As a result, the northern villages were freed from 19 years of recurrent Syrian shelling; the passage of Israeli and Israel-bound shipping through the Straits of Tiran was ensured; and Jerusalem, which had been divided under Israeli and Jordanian rule since 1949, was reunified under Israel's authority."

I don't think I said anything about waging war. Just that he might make us become part of a recovery efort( how the hell do you spell efort.) I think he might volunteer us to help rebuild Lebanon. I just learned last night when my mom and i stayed in a sleaper ccar on the train with a person from Lebanon that Lebanize people had just rebuilt a huge huge bridge that took them 10 years to rebuild since it was last bombed down 10 years ago; Israel first had fired three bombs at the top of the bridge that could not knock it down s they had to fire bombs at the pillars of the bridge. That is how strong it is. I in this matter are on Lebanons side. I think Israel should Cease fire until the non existant United Nations makes a decision about this matter.

Okay. Israel has ceased fire but is still in lebanon. Israelie's say that Hezbolah has won. They are the first to stand up against Israel and win. Hezbolah is very hard to defeat because they are not a place but more of a resistance of people.

Israel does not seem to agree with this cease fire. The U.N. is not doing a very good job of keeping this situation under control.
